Aren’t they awful? Gaurav, this also reminds me of one of my first web design attempts: animated gifs, sound effects and cursor animations were de rigueur in the 90s and I definitely thought “more is more”!
Holy Mother of Christ. I am blind, I am blind! Must look away from the screen.
I actually remember using animated gifs and colourful fonts… when I was 6!
It is ridiculous how so many companies and corporates actually rely on their children/sub-par designers to build their websites, which quintessentially is their brand. What they don’t realise is that having a website is no longer for the sake of an online presence. It is all about having an IMC which ties up nicely. These websites are just gonna turn customers away from them.
I know I am not a great web-designer but if I had designed any of the websites mentioned above (and was an adult… let’s face it, we can forgive kids if they have made any of these monstrosities) , I would have performed harakiri on myself by now.
And this one too!!! http://www.milliondollarhomepage.com/
