The power of a 1 line email – [Video #20]
[Paddington, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia]
Good day, it’s Adam Franklin here and today I want to share with you a marketing tip and it’s about email marketing, and specifically how to transition elegantly to a sales conversation. Now, a lot of the time this is really quite scary for most of us, and it certainly was for me because you don’t want to be coming across as salesy. You don’t want to be putting yourself out there, you don’t want to seem desperate and asking for business, but you’re in the business and you know, you can help people. So what’s a nice way to do that without being pushy, without being too overly salesy, but in a way that actually shakes the tree and drums up some business? One of the things, if you’ve been studying marketing for a while like I have is the concept of a one line email, or some people refer to it as a non-word email. Pretty much the same thing.
It’s basically writing an email to your email list … or you can do it 101 if you want, basically asking a question, “Would you like to work with me in 2019?” Or, “Are you ready to discuss?” Maybe in your marketing coach, “Would you like to grow your pipeline in the next 30 days?” These are all examples of one line emails that I’ve used in recent months, I tend to send them off every six weeks or so. The idea is to start conversations with people who may be ready to enter into that conversation with you. Now, it’s not a hard sell, it’s just a question. It’s a conversation starter. That is my email marketing tip to you. If you’ve got an email list, if you’ve been sharing useful valuable information and people know, like, and trust you, then it could be time to send them a one line email to transition to those sales conversations. All right. That’s it from me. Hope that works well for you. See ya.
