Who is the Mayor of Bluewire Media?

Tweet

Updated on February 8th, 2013

Having first heard of the foursquare iPhone app late last year, I’ve finally downloaded the app, signed up & have become the first person to check into Bluewire Media.

If you’ve never heard of foursquare, that is OK.

It’s s a social media tool that allows you to connect with friends who are in the same location or nearby.  Foursquare allows you literally to see where your online friends are in real world!

This review explains it quickly.

If you are a regular at say, The Gunshop Cafe, you can check in every time you have a coffee & leave a review or look for friends who might happen to be in West End at the same time.…

What’s your YouTube channel?

We love YouTube!

We use it to share testimonials, press appearances and interviews we’ve conducted with inspiring and interesting people. We also use it to introduce ourselves and our services to clients, potential staff and anyone interested in what we do!

What do you use it for?

Here are some examples of what you’ll find on our YouTube channel:

Our welcome video

Here, we get the chance for our audience to ‘meet’ the directors of our company and explain first hand what it is we do.

Testimonials

Rather than us telling you what we think of our work, you can hear it from our clients.…

Weekly round-up

This week’s round-up is tinged with sadness as we say goodbye to our long-standing and well-loved designer, Sarah Hyne.  Sarah’s migrating to new, lush pastures over at MAP Magazine. Sarah had been with Bluewire for two and a half years and in that time she instigated our famous “Weekly Round-up” blog posts.

It’s with a bit of trepedation that I take over these posts! So here it is… the first of Bluewire Media’s Monday Weekly Round-ups.

Verne Harnish Business Growth

Verne Harnish’s business growth tips have helped shape the way we run Bluewire Media.  Verne’s known as The ‘Growth Guy’ and his company Gazelles essentially helps businesses scale up.

His business workshops & events are the best we’ve attended and at the recent Growth Summit in Sydney, we caught up with Verne for a quick interview to learn his #1 business growth tip.

We asked Verne Harnish, “What’s your #1 tip for business growth?”

Mastering the Rockefeller Habits

TRANSCRIPT: Verne Harnish Business Growth –  #1 Tip

The first thing you’ve really got to implement out of these habits is a set of priorities.…

Web marketing made easy

Tweet

Rarely can anyone explain web marketing SIMPLY.

This is understandable because there are so many websites and online tactics and every one has an opinion.

To me, all this noise usually leads to overwhelm and confusion.  I actually find some digital marketing companies aim for this so they sound smarter (and because they can charge more in fees!)

This prompted us to face up to that challenge: How can web marketing be explained so that it MAKES SENSE?

We’ve been attempted to do so with the following diagram and tested it on several audiences we’ve presented to. …

Price: $8.99    Get it from iTunes →

There’s an obsessive statistician in us all – just watch a game of cricket on television for proof – and Google Analytics is the bearer of charts, reports, metrics and percentages that will please even the most hardened of website owners.

The Google Analytics App gives you access to the information gathered by your website’s analytics robot (if you have it installed). View data on traffic sources, visitor trending and goals alongside all the usual great Analytics reports… each displayed neatly on your mobile phone.…

What’s your social networking success story?

Tweet

We’re passionate advocates of using social networking for business marketing and delight in sharing success stories that began at a tweet, a Facebook discussion, a YouTube clip or a blog post.

Remember our interview with David Meerman Scott?  The one where he blogged about General Motors and ended up landing a meeting with the CEO?

Amazing right?

On a much smaller scale many of us are continually experiencing the benefits of social networking. A personal success story of mine unfolded a couple of weeks ago…

I’m currently enrolled in a music blogging course as part of my journalism degree at QUT (yep, blogging has hit the curriculum).…

Updated on December 3rd, 2019

Glenn Murray and his ebooks SEO secrets has been somewhat of a guiding light for Bluewire Media’s SEO efforts in recent times (along with the tips from our SEO friends at Reload Media of course).

Glenn was generous enough with his time to do this interview with us.  Thanks Glenn!

If you stay all the way through the 17 minutes, you’re in for a treat, it’s a cracker!

In Part 1, Glenn Murray answers:

  1. In your SEO Secrets ebook, you talk about the importance of blogging – just how important is blogging for SEO?

Power to the people (Barack Obama)

I was blown away this morning when I opened my inbox. Here’s the first part of the email I received from Mitch Stewart at BarackObama.com that made me sit up:

Toby —

At hundreds of events across the country, everyday Americans are sending an urgent message to their senators: Pass strong Wall Street reform.

With a Senate vote on reform expected as early next week, the bank lobbyists are rallying — trying to water down the bill by sneaking in a wide array of loopholes.

But pressure from people like you is changing the equation.
