Live blogging transforms journalism – A great article for story tellers of all types, and yes, that (should) include marketers and copywriters. It shows how crucial the “real-time” aspect of news is, whether that be from the end of the journo or the end of the news makers across business. Writing timely content and getting it noticed is where we’re at.
Less is more – using social media to inspire concise writing – While it sounds a bit like a class plan, this article is all about thinking about what we write and how we write it. As anyone who uses it would attest, Twitter most certainly makes us do just that. We can’t waffle on anymore. Whatever it is that you’re trying to say – why not condense it down to those 140 characters and see just how compelling it can still be?
The business of social media – [VIDEO] It’s always great to see social media in the press considering its widespread use. This ABC video features social media strategists from Australia and The States and is a great ndication of social media in business at this point in time. Though one strategist in it does say she thinks that people are using it mostly as an advertising space, and I’d have to disagree – there are loads of companies really pushing their usage of it in new and creative ways.
