How to Use The Lead Nurturing Template

Updated on October 28th, 2016

Lead nurturing has become a key part of the web marketing strategy in most companies.

Today’s consumers are more informed and more accessible than ever before. Our interactions with potential buyers happen at a number of different stages in their journey, and for that reason, we need to interact with them according to their individual stage.

We build lead nurturing into a marketing strategy because we want to develop relationships with buyers, no matter which stage they’re at. We can nurture leads in a number of different ways, and need to understand our buyers so that we can engage with them in a valuable way.…

Updated on October 31st, 2013

I’ll be the first to admit that for me, organisation is a struggle. It’s not because of laziness but purely a total lack of time.

I study marketing full time, work part time at a coffee shop and also intern at Bluewire. Add on assignments and some resemblance of a social life and there’s not much time left, so I need to be organised.  Luckily for me (and most of the modern world) I own a smart phone. Believe it or not, my IPhone is not just for Instagram, Facebook and listening to music- it’s also my secret organisational weapon.…

Building a blog and subscribers is just like training – Sean Bowes

Sean Bowes - Train Hard Win Easy

Updated on July 8th, 2013

Tonight I was jogging with my friend and Bondi personal trainer Sean Bowes – which is rare, since he’s a 2:26 marathoner and I’m slower by a good hour and then some. Fortunately, he’d already done a cycling session and a 20km run before our leisurely 8km jog.

He said something that buzzed around my head for the rest of the run.

Building a blog or email subscribers is just like my training.  I don’t have a huge audience yet, but I know if I write every day and commit to practicing, I’ll get better and better at it, and in a few years time I should have built something worthwhile and see some great results.

Updated on July 8th, 2013

This is a guest post.

Here’s another guest article by John Russell, author of Living with an Illness – 10 stages to dealing with your illness – an e-book that he’s made available for free.

Welcome John Russell…..

Following my recent article (Can you afford free Social Media – Part One) – I realise that I may have struck a nerve in the market place. Hoping that my readers now understand that Social Media isn’t actually a free exercise, in Part 2 I want to help those business owners and CEOs who have made the decision to enter the social media arena with further financial perspective and advice from someone who has done it all before.…

The True Meaning of Social Media

Updated on July 8th, 2013

Every Christmas I usually sit down to my favourite Christmas movie A Miracle on 34th Street but this year I won’t be. The reason we’re so drawn to Christmas movies is they put perspective on why we really celebrate Christmas and that it is not about the presents or baking the perfect Christmas ham, it is about being with the people you love. This year I won’t be looking to a Hollywood blockbuster to regain perspective; I am simply looking to social media.

I was searching for social media content online for a client and then I stumbled on a story that has caused this sudden shift in my 20 year old tradition – “JetBlue Delivers Cousin’s Goodbye Letter to Newtown Child’s Funeral”.  …

Facebook Falling? Preparing Your Business for the New Social Media Frontier

Facebook Falling? Preparing Your Business for the New Social Media Frontier

People love to root for the underdog. Remember when MySpace still ruled the land, and Facebook was the small competitor gaining ground with college kids? You couldn’t get a Facebook account without a university or school email address, so people went out of their way to obtain these and keep them after graduation.

Limiting a good product’s availability is a classic method of creating hype. By the time you launch to the general public, the idea is to have generated buzz that will propel your business to mass public acceptance.…

You’ll Never Silence The Voice of the Voiceless – The impact of media regulations in Australia on Blogging Sites

Updated on July 8th, 2013

You’ll never silence the voice of the voiceless.

“Voice of the Voiceless” – Rage Against The Machine – Battle of Los Angeles, Oct 1999

When I was asked to give a presentation entitled “You’ll never silence the blog – the impact of media regulations on blogging sites”  (slides) at the Inaugural Media Regulations Forum in Sydney, I immediately thought of the Rage Against The Machine lyrics.

The agenda was put together on the back of the proposed media regulation changes detailed in the Finkelstein Report [PDF] which meant that blogs would fall under the jurisdiction of a government oversight body if they exceeded 15,000 “hits” per year.…

Pinterest for Business?

Updated on July 8th, 2013

Recently we posed the question to our Facebook and Twitter followers “how does your company use Pinterest”? After receiving a fabulous response from Suzie Wiley from architecture practice Surroundings we asked her to do a guest blog post for us.

In the words of Suzie Wiley…

As a young architecture practice, much of our world exists online, we value being nimble and embrace new digital platforms so we can work and play anywhere. We are loving this digital cloud revolution, it saves us time and allows us to hang out and do what we love – designing great space for people to enjoy.…

Angela's Wedding

Updated on July 8th, 2013

Has your name changed? Mine has.

After walking down the aisle in September, I’ve just started the massive task of changing my name everywhere. I’m sure most women (like me) don’t realise how big this task will be until they actually start the process. Bank accounts, phone, electricity, drivers licence….the list goes on.

But, these days we also have social media to deal with. How on earth do you change your name on Facebook and LinkedIn? I’ve just figured a couple of these things out and have some basic steps below.…
