5 Tactics You Should Be Using Instead of A-B Testing

This is a guest post  – Devesh Khanal is a conversion optimization consultant. He and his team focus on growing email lists and A/B testing high traffic pages. He writes about his successes and failures at DeveshDesign.com.

Welcome Devesh…

No it’s not because I don’t want competition. It’s because most online businesses don’t have the traffic and sales necessary to make it worthwhile (yet).

So what should you do instead?…

12 Of The Best Headline Writing Resources On The Web

Updated on November 1st, 2013

The difference between good writers and great writers, in my opinion, is the “the art of headline.”

Why? The reason is that if 10 people are exposed to your article, 8 will read the headline, and only 2 will read actual article.  This is why great writers are masters of headline writing.  In fact, I should more correctly say they masters at stealing the best headlines!

Magazines covers, book titles, blog posts, email subject lines and tweets are all the realm of the crafty headline writer.  …

LinkedIn In 5 Minutes A Day

LinkedIn is so much more than a digital Rolodex!

Click on those people’s accounts and send them an invitation to connect with you, adding a custom message letting them know you noticed that they viewed your profile and explaining what you could add to the connection.…

From the weekly Success Insights series: Lessons from our Client Success Programs

This week, we have an important lesson on the value of positive community engagement!

We heavily monitor a retail sector client’s Facebook page, but recently our two social media guides needed a holiday*.  So while our guides were away, we had to minimise the responsive work we could do in order to handle the out of hours monitoring. This meant we significantly reduced our engagement with the community and focussed on “fighting fires” rather than taking the time to encourage and get involved in positive conversations.…
