How to download the fonts

Downloading the fonts is nice and simple! Once you have hit the DOWNLOAD HERE link under the selected fonts you would like download, follow the prompts to download. Once the font has been downloaded some of the fonts will download as ZIP file. So you will need a program like WINRAR or Zipeg to unpack the font. You will now see a file with the extension .ttf or .rtf. Simply double click the file and then select install. The font will now be installed and ready to use in word, pages and any other program that uses fonts.…

There is nothing worse than sitting down to watch a couple of YouTube videos to just be bombarded with ads, so here is the solution.

Step 1. Go to https://chrome.google.com/webstore

Step 2. Click in the search bar and type Ad Block.

Step 3. Scroll down to Adblock for YouTube then click the button that says ADD TO CHROME.

Online Business Videos

A week ago I met up with Avi, founder of Production Party – an online video production outsourcer (think approximately 99designs for video).

He was also the driving force behind Mobile Screen Fest (an international film festival for short movies filmed on mobiles only).

Avi’s an incredibly smart guy (a full trained MD, head of corporate strategy for Phizer) and he offered to share a few of his insights into how to make a great business video.

Enter Dr Avi Ratnanesan…

You’re looking for better ways to promote your business, you’ve heard about the value of having a good video on your website, but you don’t know where to begin, what a good video looks like or whether it can even help your business…

What do YOU need to think about to get the best Return on Investment from your video?…

Ron Baker – The smartest people are NOT in your organisation

Tweet

I first heard of Ron Baker through Verne Harnish at the Growth Summit. Verne had recommended Ron’s latest book – “Implementing Value Pricing”. I bought it and read it and in the process had my eyes opened and my perspective on business turned upside down (see my post on “Why do we exist as a business?”).

Since becoming a huge fan, I was excited to have the opportunity to meet Ron in a workshop in Australia and do a quick interview (2:22) with him on how the web is changing the world of knowledge sharing and working.…

A funny look at why most videos are boring – Kevin Daum

Tweet

Why spend $25,000 on a video that 12 people watch?  It doesn’t make much sense, but many ‘professional’ corporate videos are boring and go unwatched!

Injecting fun, humour and entertainment into corporate videos terrifies marketing & PR people. Except it shouldn’t, because it WORKS!  After we met at a Leadership Summit last week, I got to interview Kevin Daum, the author of Video Marketing for Dummies.

Interview with Kevin Daum

TRANSCRIPT:

Adam Franklin: Hi there it’s Adam Franklin here and I’m lucky enough to be here with Kevin Daum the author of Video Marketing for DUMMIES.…

How can we use the Web to build an Engaged Culture? – Interview with Marcus Child

Tuesday and Wednesday this week were like a business improvement bootcamp!

Adam and I went along to another great Verne Harnish Rockefeller Habits event put on by The Growth Faculty on Tuesday and sat next to Derek Hodge, a TEC (The Executive Connection) Group Chair.

With a full day of Verne under our belts and sharing ideas, Derek invited me to join him the next day for a TEC presentation by Marcus Child (@digitalmarcus) titled “Leading an Engaged Culture”.

What a cracking few hours! Marcus was incredibly energetic as a presenter with great practical ideas around leadership and staff engagement, not to mention some incredible results to report.…

How to use iMovie to create YouTube videos

Tweet

So, my time here at Bluewire as a marketing intern from QUT has been spent editing videos the guys have done with industry leaders and clients on how they use the web to do business.

Why publish videos?

To quote David Meerman Scott, “On the web, you are what you publish”

I must confess i am a Mac advocate, owning an iPod, iPhone and Macbook completing the trifecta of Mac products. So what i have to say may be bias towards iMovie. There are many great products and software out there which are useful for editing and creating movies and video content.…

Video blogging – tips to get started

Tweet

Over the years we’ve recorded and shared dozens of video interviews with experts across a whole range of fields. Not only have we learned a whole lot ourselves through the knowledge of others, we’ve also been able to share a whole variety of perspectives with our own audience.

On the strategy side of things we have also generated hundreds of re-tweets, back-links and contacts through sharing these videos.

And while it’s as simple as recording, editing and posting a video, there are some nifty ways that you can leverage your video blogging (or vlogging) to make it more beneficial for your overall web strategy.…

20 Useful Tips on Using Social Media & Blogging for Business

Tweet

One of our core values here at Bluewire Media is “continuous improvement”, and after a recent social media workshop we held, we decided that a good way to improve it would be to include a few solid tips for the most effective use of each form of social media that we discussed.

So we’ve started going through and listing some tips, none of them are revolutionary and not all of them will apply to all situations, but they’re all useful things to keep in mind. This post covers a few of the tips we’ve come up with so far for Blogging, Facebook and Twitter.…

Q&A with Kelly Olexa – social media, vlogging & the power of conversation

Tweet

A few weeks back I was lucky enough to have the chance to meet and interview Kelly Olexa.

With more than 28,000 followers on Twitter, a successful YouTube channel that receives thousands of hits per entry, and a book on the way, it’s clear Kelly Olexa knows a thing or two about the power of social media when harnessed correctly.

Here she tells us how she fell into social media as a means of professional networking after losing her job. But the level of success that came out of “talking alot” as Kelly modestly puts it, could hardly have been anticipated.…
