Hi [[ contact.first_name ]],
Over the last 18 months you may have seen a significant jump in the average number of views and comments my LinkedIn videos have received.
On the surface these may simply look like vanity metrics, but I’d like to challenge that assumption (and demonstrate why they are not). Here’s why.
#1. The video comments I receive are from people who are typically requesting the companion PDF that I offer. They are expressing their interest in my material and I am able to send it to them personally via Direct Message. I can see their business, their role and most importantly I am able to start a personal conversation with them.
Even though I don’t particularly like the language in this marketing turn of phrase, but these people are leads for Bluewire. My preferred choice of language is these are business people who’ve raised their hand and want to learn from my free training resources and who may eventually want me to help coach them on their marketing journey.
#2. The video views on the surface are classic vanity metrics, but in fact they are the unsung hero of your LinkedIn marketing efforts. Why? Well, most people on social media ‘lurk’ and don’t interact. On a video that gets say 10,000 views, only a very small percentage will ever comment or like the post (between 2-5%).
Yet the silent majority are still paying attention as they scroll on their phone. They are seeing you, (hopefully) learning from you and you’re top of mind. It amazes me how many times people mention to me in business meetings or socially, that they’ve seen my videos on LinkedIn. In a business setting, it’s often the first time I’m meeting these people, but they are still familiar with my work already.
The views you get on your LinkedIn content are far from vanity metrics. They serve to amplify trust, put you top of mind, and this can happen long before you come face to face with a prospect or referrer.
However, on LinkedIn not all posts are treated equally. There are simple things you can do to leverage the effort you’ve put into your content.
Getting 10X higher traction on your LinkedIn content, all comes down to being a good guest, and that’s why I’ve created this step-by-step PDF guide for you.

Let’s start with this scenario.
Imagine you were invited to a business function — for free — and all your ideal clients were also in the room. (Hint: this is LinkedIn).
Imagine if every time you spoke to a fellow guest, you tried to recruit them away from the event to your office. (Hint: this is like linking off to your own website from LinkedIn).
The host (aka LinkedIn) probably wouldn’t be that pleased, and they wouldn’t be in a rush to introduce you to other people.
(What happens? LinkedIn will restrict the visibility of your post).
Instead however, if you stay at the function and start good conversations, add value and connect with new people, your fellow guests will have a good experience, stay longer and enjoy it, which of course the host loves!
(Encourage interaction in the comments and start conversations in direct messages DMs which keeps people on the LinkedIn platform).
The host will love you, invite you back and be delighted to introduce you to everyone else.
(Impact? LinkedIn will give your post lots more visibility, even to people in your 2nd and 3rd degree network.)
In this new PDF guide, I’ll show you exactly how to do it with this step-by-step~OptIn_90~.
