I remember my first Bluewire News — for all the wrong reasons.
I’m nervous as anything. The email is written, designed and coded. It looks good too (at least by 2005 standards!)
I double check it, triple check it and quadruple check it…. because it’s going out to everyone I know. 700 family, friends and business contacts whom I cajoled into being on my email list.
I build up the courage, and hit send.
I take a deep breath… I wait… and it arrives in my inbox….
LIKE THIS…!!!
Btw, what do you reckon about the email header .. !?
I just sent ‘Dear Adam’ to all 700 subscribers. Argh!
My heart sinks….
It’s OK for the 3 people on the list called Adam…
But not so cool for everyone else. And not a good look for a couple of guys starting a web design company!
Talk about embarrassing.
Anyway, after 5 excruciating minutes pacing around the garden, I decided to re-send it to everyone and say, “Oops, sorry I messed up your first name…”
Thankfully most readers stayed with me. And I vowed to get a proofreader!
Anyway, luckily we didn’t let that mishap stop us.
If we had stopped our Bluewire News, I am certain that our business wouldn’t exist today. Email is that important.
Since then tens of thousands of people, like you, have signed up to get the Bluewire News. And I love nothing more than writing to you each week, like I have for over a decade.
Building an email list is something we did from day one, and we’re so glad we did. It’s everything to our business. I get to interact with you — and you can tell me when I’m onto something good, or tell me off when I get it wrong (like my infamously bad Uber email last year)!
Our email list drives sales, partnerships, speaking engagements, webinar regos, revenue and repeat business. You name it, an email list helps it.
In fact, I’ve actually been contemplating creating an email list-building course for a while.
But I didn’t do it. Why not…?
Well, there’s no need to reinvent the wheel, when the blueprint already exists.
I don’t say this lightly… but it’s the best program I’ve seen on this topic… in fact it’s better than what I had planned. Not only has he cracked 10,000 subscribers himself, but he did it in much shorter time than us.
I mean it wholeheartedly when I say Bryan Harris’ “Get 10,000 Subscribers” is the blueprint you need to follow if you want to build a huge email list for your business.
You’ve seen his free training that I’ve been sharing this last week and hopefully you’ve already got your first 100 subscribers if you’ve been doing the homework.
The cart is now open to sign up and there is a fast mover bonus.

PS. Did you get my first Bluewire News back in 2005? Please hit reply and tell me. I’d love to know ;-)
