Are you on Pinterest?
Updated on August 9th, 2014
One of the areas of web marketing that we’ve had recent success with has been visual content.
You may have seen our LinkedIn 5 Minute Marketing Plan infographic. It was our first experiment with visual content marketing and it was shared hundreds of times on social media, is our most popular blog post of all time and was re-posted on dozens of blogs like the power-house Hubspot blog earning us plenty of juicy back-links! In short, it was a huge success and we are now going to roll out more infographics.
The person we turn to for insights and advice on all things visual content is Donna Moritz. Her blog Socially Sorted was the winner of Australia’s Best Business Blog for 2014. You may recall our Bluewire blog was named as a finalist, but Donna’s blog won it!
Anyway we have interviewed Donna for our podcast and that episode will be live very soon. Plus we will be inviting you to a join Donna’s free webinar where she’ll be teaching us all how to use visual content to market our business.
And how about this interesting fact we learnt about Pinterest (the heavyweight social network when it comes to visual content)…? Even if you don’t have a Pinterest account, pictures from your website and blog can be ‘pinned’ and shared by other people without you doing anything. You can check what people are pinning from your website by adding your blog or website URL to the end of this web address:
It’s pretty cool that your images are already being shared on Pinterest hey? If you want to take it one step further, sign up for your Pinterest account and interact with the folks who are sharing your images. Then set up some pinboards of your own.
The free tool for you this week is the Pinterest 5 Minute Daily Marketing Plan (1 MB – PDF). There is a version for beginners, intermediate and advanced and it only needs five minutes a day. Good luck!
By the way some of the tools we are testing at the moment are Social Oomph, Buffer Daily and Heyo. As always we’ll report back to you with the ones worth using yourself.
Thanks for reading and we’ll see you next week!
