Royal Wedding: You’re invited to join Prince William and Kate
Would you accept an invite from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth to attend the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton?
I would. But maybe I’m biased because of my English heritage. Anyway in case you haven’t heard, you are invited.
Royal wedding: Kate and William marriage live on YouTube
The royal wedding will be broadcast live on YouTube after Prince William and Kate Middleton insisted they wanted their marriage to be the world’s most interactive public event.
St James’s Palace will also use Twitter, Facebook and flickr to host a dedicated social network giving the public constant updates and a chance to provide feedback.
Prince William and Miss Middleton are regular users of Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
Isn’t this a good sign for all of us trying to persuade social media naysayers? The British Monarchy, arguably the most traditional and old fashioned institution on the planet, is embracing real-time communications for the Royal Wedding.
This would make David Meerman Scott proud I’m sure!

And I’d personally like to wish Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth “Happy 85th birthday”.
Today is the Queen’s actual birthday despite the Queen’s Birthday Holiday being in July – apparently she prefers the official holiday during England’s summer.
Why do I know all this…? Well it’s my birthday too!
