How did I record the video?
I shot it in landscape mode (horizontal) on my phone, but it probably could look better in portrait (vertical).
I actually tried two approaches:
1st. Record it straight into the LinkedIn App (via mobile) and apply the optional text overlay.
2nd. Record on my phone, trim the video to 30 secs, and then upload to LinkedIn App and apply the optional text overlay.
Both are super easy. But getting your message to 30 second is the trickier part!
What to say:
As I mentioned, I’m an advocate of keeping it simple and friendly, just as if you are meeting someone new. This mimics real life.
Of course, technically, you can create any type of video you wish, however if it’s a ‘highly produced’ type of video, to me that’s akin to meeting someone and pulling out your ipad to show off a sizzle reel.
That said, it’s totally up to you!
