The Key to Creating Remarkable Things – The 99 Percent
The idea of doing our real work first and “reactive” work second (answering emails, getting resources for colleagues etc.) sounds like common-sense, doesn’t it? But is that really how you function day to day? Or do you spend the morning “getting ready” to knuckle down… then suddenly it’s three o’clock and time for a cup of soup? Why 9.41 is Apple time

Tweet

This article I read in Fast Company left me astonished by how much attention Apple pays to every microscopic detail of their marketing campaigns.

Have you ever wondered why all Apple product mockups show the time at just after 9.40? Neither had I (nor had I even picked up on this peculiarity). But indeed, the iPhone’s clock displayed 9.42am. The iPad displayed 9.41.

I’ll let Fast Company explain:

Turns out Apple’s keynote organizers think about this stuff right down to the tiniest detail–and this is certainly one of the tinier details.

But the folks at Never Center decided that we could at least have fun with our crappy photos by recreating the effects of some of the iconic toy cameras of the past.

Choose from vintage, polaroid, lomo (LC-A, Holga or Fisheye), infrared, and magazine filters and play around with the settings for image size, cropping and border effects.…
