I’ve already shown you the video I posted to LinkedIn a fortnight ago. In the video I shared a few tips on why it’s important to nurture relationships on social media platforms and I also offered my LinkedIn 10 Minute Daily Plan if viewers left a comment.
Once people left a comment I simply sent the PDF via direct message on LinkedIn, and started conversations.
This technique has been working well for me (and for students in my course) but this particular video really seemed to strike a cord as it has had over 50,444 views and 1,072 comments. For me that is a 4X better result than anything else I’ve posted on LinkedIn.
(By comparison the same video on Facebook only garnered 521 views and 10 comments… For me, that is a 100X better result on LinkedIn, which is why I am so enthusiastic about it as a platform, especially for high-trust relationship-based professionals.)
To give it perspective, 50,000 people is roughly the size of a packed Brisbane football stadium and twice the size of our list of Bluewire News subscribers. It’s incredible reach for a video that took less than 5 minutes to record and cost me zero dollars.
