Hi ~Contact.FirstName~
How are you?
I just wanted to share three social media techniques that work well, even if you’re shy and don’t want to put yourself ‘out there’ too much. They even work if you’re time poor because we all have moments of time between meetings, calls, flights etc and these tips take hardly any time at all.
But first a caveat: these tips aren’t designed to drag you away from what’s working for you already, or distract you from the most important work you know you should be doing. It’s not an excuse to scroll through Instagram all day, ok!?
Keep doing the stuff that drives sales and new clients. Keep making your calls, and everything else, but use these social media tips of complement and amplify what you’re doing. Social media is about staying top of mind, connecting with clients, nurturing long term relationships and being a trusted authority in your industry.
So, even if you’re shy or ‘busy’, these three tips are worth a go. Here goes.
Tip 1: Connect with your clients or prospects on LinkedIn or Instagram
This is a nice gentle approach to stay connected with them in passive way. You can occasionally like or comment on what they’re up to, and in doing so you can stay top of mind.
Tip 2: Tag your customers in pics on Instagram
If you sell products, like clothes for instance, you can borrow a technique from Clay Rondo who sells menswear in Brisbane. Each day he posts photos of suits and other menswear ideas on Instagram. Not only that he tags clients when he thinks they may be interested in one of the items he’s posted. It’s an easy way for him to make suggestions to clients and stay top of mind. It’s non intrusive and very effective for his time-poor, corporate clients.
