Here’s why I believe 2019 is the year for LinkedIn.
Facebook and Instagram are ‘popular’, but in my opinion they are also crowded, expensive, addictive and aggressive with adverts.
It’s also a potentially dangerous vortex. Social media is known to release dopamine — the same chemical experienced in alcohol, nicotine and gambling.
Not only that, it’s hard not to fall into the comparison trap. As Teddy Roosevelt said, ‘Comparison is the thief of joy’.
For now, I’ve turned off both Instagram and Facebook apps on my iPhone.
Yet I believe LinkedIn is where it’s at for 2019. Especially for B2B business owners working with high-value clients.
Even entrepreneur friends who proudly proclaim “I don’t use social media”… are on LinkedIn “all the time”. I’m not surprised.
It’s where 500+ million business people are paying attention. 25% of them log in on a daily basis. Yet only 0.5% actually post any content on the platform. What an opportunity!
I’ve shared a lot about LinkedIn over the last few months. One of the projects I am working through at the moment is connecting with Bluewire News readers, like you, on LinkedIn.

Why am I doing this?
1. I genuinely enjoy the human connection.
2. LinkedIn is a great platform and I’m keen to see what you’re up to on it.
3. If we’re connected on both email and LinkedIn, I feel we can have a deeper and closer relationship.
I just recorded two videos explaining ‘exactly why’ and ‘specifically how’ I am doing this. I’ve posted them in my premium LinkedIn course.
I also recorded an iPhone tutorial on how I (easily) edit videos on my phone so I can post them straight to LinkedIn. Current students have access to that already because I posted the videos last night.
I’ve also had the first wave of students complete my LinkedIn course and I’ve been reviewing their profiles and progress. The student feedback and results have been amazing.
Now that this first cohort has graduated, and the value in the program has increased, I’ve made the decision to raise the price at 11.59pm PST on Sunday 20th Jan.
