Personally, I’ve had a productive weekend, writing up a new short course on SEO. When I surveyed you, and other Bluewire News readers, SEO was hands-down the most requested topic to learn more about. Nearly all of us want to get good quality traffic from Google but we’re not always sure how. Luckily we’ve been experimenting with SEO and implementing it for nearly a decade and we can help.

Book Launch – Culture is Everything

A few years back, Tobes and I did a course on how to write a business book run by Valerie Khoo at the Australian Writers’ Centre. It was a brilliant day that prepared us for writing and publishing our own book, Web Marketing That Works (btw, it’s $25 on our website, if you’ve not got it yet).

Anyway, one of the other students in the class was our friend Tristan White who runs The Physio Co which was judged Australia’s Best Place to Work. Tristan has just launched his book called Culture is Everything where he shares all his ‘culture’ secrets.

It is based on Tristan’s decade long journey building his business into a 100+ person operation with a thriving culture. I’ve always loved Tristan’s work and now the very best bits are available in his new book. I’ve just read the first chapter so I’ll give a little bit away for you.

Best Seller Online Summit

Speaking of books becoming best sellers, I am involved with an upcoming online summit where I’ll be sharing tips on how to leverage a book to get speaking engagements and how to use speaking engagements to sell books. It will be complete with lots of useful freebies as well as 25 other speakers. More on that to come soon.

Demystifying Web Design Workshop on Tuesday 9th May. It is run by our friend Jon Hollenberg from Five by Five in Brisbane. Register for a ticket her for $199.

Media Training with Meggie Palmer from Sliding Door Media. I did the workshop during the week and it was fantastic. We learned how to be prepared for a TV interview, do a live cross and do radio interviews. There was so much I didn’t know, but thanks to Meggie and her team, I now feel ready!
