What is a lead magnet?
It’s a concise and useful piece of ‘flagship content’ that is incredibly valuable to your ideal buyer. In the last few emails I’ve talked to you about defining and documenting your ideal buyer as the first step to become an attraction business.
This next step is about delivering value to that buyer, in the form of a lead magnet.
If you’ve read our book Web Marketing That Works you’ll know we refer to a lead magnet as ‘flagship content’.
It’s something:
- you are known for
- that people would pay you for (if you asked them)
- and you give it away as your gift
In doing so, you ‘attract’ the right types of leads, opportunities and clients to your business. The lead magnet is part of becoming an ‘attraction business’ where you don’t need to rely on chasing business all the time.
