We’ve had two long weekends in a row here in Queensland which has been absolutely lovely… Although no other state in the world has had them so Mondays have pretty much been business as usual!
What’s the latest on your end?
As for me I want to share with you 4 tools I am using a lot at the moment.
1. — instantly record, transcribe and highlight Zoom meetings.
Best bits for me: You get a complete transcript of each meeting. Plus you can highlights certain parts of the transcript and export that specific section of the recording as its own video!
2. — revisit your favourite Kindle highlights, all in one place, plus via a daily email. Best bits for me: I’ve mentioned this tool before and I’m still using it because it ensures I actually learn, remember and embed the best bits of all the books I’ve read.
3. — I’ve always liked the fancy videos on social media where you see a title and captions overlayed on the actual video. Best bits for me: Rather than trying to DIY, I just send a raw file to Splasheo and the finished product is back within days. Try it out yourself and get 4 videos for free.
4. — I usually listen to podcasts and audiobooks at 1.5X to 1.8X speed, so I find videos at 1.0X a bit slow and I’ve never known how to speed them up. Best bits for me: This free Chrome plugin puts hot buttons on all the videos I watch on my laptop, so I can speed up (or slow) the pace. I literally got told about this last week and it’s a game changer (thanks Zamil).
