Ramit Sethi’s Zero To Launch – Review by Adam Franklin (Bluewire Media)
My business partner and our CEO Toby Jenkins is a student and graduate of Ramit Sethi‘s Zero To Launch training program (aka ZTL). This blog post is a review from a student’s perspective.
Firstly, what is the ‘Zero to Launch’ system?
Zero To Launch is a ‘system’. It’s an online training program designed to help you validate, create and launch an online course. It is created by Ramit Sethi and his team at Growth Lab. Toby and I have both visited the material extensively.
Toby is actually away this week, so in the interest of time I recorded this “behind-the-scenes” video of Zero To Launch and I also show exactly what we implemented that generated results that more than covered the cost of the program.

Toby’s case study in the ZTL Facebook group
Here’s a screenshot that Toby posted in the private Zero To Launch Facebook group. It showcases a couple of the key insights we learnt from ZTL and the results we got from implementing them.
The highlights
1. Introducing tiered pricing
Last time we take an intake of students, we had only one option. This time we implemented what we learnt in Zero To Launch, and that was to have different bundled options at tiered pricing.
[NB. We had a price increase mid-way through our launch. You’ll see in Toby’s example above, the price is “most popular” option is $597 USD whereas in my video I mention it is $797 USD. We did this deliberately, half-way through the ‘open cart’ period for 2 reasons.]
1. We added quizzes and certification which had extra value, and
2. It also a way to introduce urgency to drive decision making.
You can see in the example below that we added over $3000 USD in sales from 1 technique that we learned directly from ZTL. The technique is introducing tiered pricing for bundled offers.
2. During a webinar, link straight to order page (not sales page)
When we’ve run webinars in the past, we’ve linked off to a ‘sales page’ for attendees to buy our products but after learning from Ramit, we’ve discovered we should link straight to the ‘order page’ where they enter their credit card info. After all, why link people to a page that “sells” your product when you’ve just “sold” your product live on a webinar.
On our most recent intake of students, we had 3 sales off our short notice webinar. Now those three sales can’t be tracked one hundred per cent to this tactic but it certainly makes a whole lot of sense that it’s way easier for people if you ‘remove a click’ from the buying experience.
ZTL Q&A with Adam Franklin
Here’s a recording of a Q&A webinar I did with readers in the Bluewire community.
Our verdict?
Zero To Launch is a great value program and if you follow what Ramit says you will easily get a return on your investment. In fact your ROI is likely to be many times what you invest if you revisit his material each time you release or sell a course.
Even if, or especially if, you consider yourself a seasoned online business person, I would suggest there is plenty to learn from Ramit. The more experienced you are, the more impact one little tweak will make to your results. So unless you are already doing 8 figures ($10m+), I recommend you immerse yourself in learning from this program.
We made the mistake of not joining earlier because we stupidly thought we ‘knew enough’. How wrong we were. Now we have lifetime access and we’ll revisit ZTL and hopefully improve for each and every intake of students.
How much does Zero To launch cost?
Zero To Launch starts at $1,997 USD or 12 x $197. There are more expensive options like Zero To Launch Accelerator which like the name suggests is designed to accelerate your progress.
Does Zero To Launch work?
All I can comment on is how Zero To Launch has worked for us at Bluewire Media. I’ve outlined some the results we’ve seen in this blog post review.
Is Zero To launch worth it (and is it legit)?
Again, I can only comment from my own experience. And yes Zero To Launch has been worth it for us. We saw a substantial ROI but then again we did implement the work outlined in program. It does take a bit of work, like anything.
The program is legit and highly valuable. Just take a look around the web, especially Reddit and Quora, and you’ll see plenty of great reviews.
Zero to Launch success stories
There are copious examples of Zero To Launch success stories all over the internet. Ramit himself showcases plenty of student case studies in his free training material, on his webinars and on his sales page. There are also plenty of independent reviews like this one that a Google search will produce. Also there is plenty of discussion and reviews on Reddit and Quora. Several friends of mine like Selena Soo and Matt McWilliams have posted their positive reviews of Zero To Launch online too.
Does Zero to Launch offer a refund?
Of course. Ramit’s Zero To Launch material is highly valuable and since it is totally legit there is a money-back guarantee. The course isn’t for everyone and I know people who have redeemed the refund because it wasn’t for them. Fair enough.
Ramit’s team is approachable and accessible and as long as you ask within the refund period and show you’ve tried some of the work, you’ll have no problem getting your money back. That said you’re way better off doing all the work and getting an ROI many multiples of what you invest.
You won’t find that with scammy programs and Zero To Launch is certainly not a scam. I don’t know why some anonymous people online call Zero To Launch a scam but it’s not. I’ve followed Ramit for many years and have got great results. I know people on his team and know many successful students and advocates for his material.
Why are there bad or negative reviews for Zero To Launch?
There are very few bad reviews, complaints or negative reviews that I’ve seen but the reason there are a few is likely because everyone will naturally have a different experience with any program. Some students are doers and will actually embrace Ramit’s advice and do the work. Others won’t. Like anything if you do the work outlined in Zero To Launch, you’ll dramatically increase your likelihood of success. If you do nothing, you’ll achieve nothing.
Plus your teacher must resonate with you. Ramit teaches each of the lessons via a video and he has a distinct personality that I personally like and I relate to. His direct, honest and no-nonsnse approach is appealing for me but he’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Some people find him brash and cocky which I personally feel is a misguided viewpoint of Ramit but each to their own. I do know Ramit genuinely wants his students to succeed and
Plus interestingly, I know many female friends of mine that typically buy from females. In fact when I ask them more questions, they say they’ve only ever bought from females. They don’t always know exactly why this is the case but they do. So if you are looking for a female teacher, this program doesn’t have that!
Are there any Zero To Launch Free Downloads?
Yes. Since enrolment to Zero To Launch is closed for much of the year, you can access these free downloads in the meantime. All require an email opt-in because they are guides on Ramit Sethi’s website.

Finally for the record…
Toby paid full price for Zero To Launch and is a graduate of the program. For us, it was worth many multiples of what he paid. Our company Bluewire Media was an affiliate of this program when the IWT ran it. It meant that if you did buy the program through a link or on our Bluewire News emails, our company earned a commission. The IWT team closed down the affiliate program in 2017, so we no longer receive a commission for referrals, but nevertheless our endorsement of Zero To Launch is as strong as ever. We continue to refer back to Zero To Launch as we build the online business arm of our business.
