I’m currently reading Reality Marketing Revolution! by Mike Lieberman & Eric Keiles.

Reality Marketing is based on adding an extra step to the marketing cycle – Lieberman & Keiles argue that going straight from an ad to a sale just isn’t realistic anymore. Tweet

We’ve just won an International web design award for Outstanding Achievement for the Queensland Fertility Group website!

The Interactive Media Awards are judged using five specific criteria:

  • Design
  • Content
  • Feature Functionality
  • Usability
  • Standards Compliance & Cross Browser Compatibility

Particular merit was given to usability & functionality, a nod to the features designed to make the customer experience as pain-free as possible.

Some highlights are:

  • The Website’s location finder, which tailors a visitor’s experience to information about services in their area – including personalised specialist information, promotions & news features,
  • Online registration for free seminars with automatic reminders,
  • Popular homepage promotions,
  • Appointment requests; and
  • The Information Pack order form.

SEO can seem pretty confusing – and it seems that many in the game like to keep it that way. But yet again Glenn Murray has landed us with a goldmine of pointers on how to write optimised copy to please both readers & the mysterious beast that is Google in his eBook SEO Copywriting.

From lists, headings, bold text & captions, to tricks to check you’re on track; here are some of my favourite tips that he shares:

Wordle is a nifty website that can help you see your web copy much the way that Google sees it.…

Designing Websites For Five Years!

Tweet

It’s been five years since Adam & Toby set up shop on their parents’ back deck with a laptop & phone (& some overzealous crows for company!).

Since then, Bluewire Media has grown in leaps & bounds, becoming one of Brisbane’s leading web design agencies and servicing over 200 Queensland & interstate companies.

On Thursday evening we headed down to the Chalk Hotel & entertained by Luttsy, celebrated turning five in the company of our friends, clients & colleagues.

Thanks to everyone who came along & special thanks to those who donated such fantastic prizes for our raffle.…
