Top 3 Light Bulb Moments with Tim Ferriss

Tweet

Updated on November 21st, 2013

Like many business owners, web marketers and lifestyle-advocates, I am a devout Tim Ferriss disciple.  I read his books, and am always trying to be implementing his status quo defying techniques.

Thanks to The Growth Faculty, Tim spoke in Sydney this morning.

Here are my top ‘light bulb’ Tim Ferriss moments
(NB.  I’ve read his books so won’t rehash stuff I already was aware of, unless it’s inspired me to take a different tack)

1. Reality is negotiable – test, test, test

Outside of science and the law, reality is negotiable… and even then Tim challenges it sometime!  …

Andrew Griffiths

Updated on February 8th, 2013

Andrew Griffiths has written 11 books in 11 years and most have been best sellers.

When Andrew spoke at the Key Person of Influence event on the weekend he explained why we need to write a book, what we need to do to become an author, and how to be a best selling author.

Here’s what I learnt from Andrew Griffith’s keynote.

Why write a book?

The main reason to write a business book is that you have more credibility, and you become an expert, therefore you get more business opportunities, more media opportunities, you are more highly valued, you get paid more, you get more speaking engagements, more consulting gigs, you get more leads, more clients, more income streams and you can get in more doors.…

There are three ways you can use your cover photo: Direction, Promotion and Identification.

Direction – this means to direct someone to perform an action for example “Download this song on iTunes’ or “sign up now”. Although this is against terms and conditions of Facebook           some companies are still using this technique. To review what is allowed in terms and conditions of the cover photo please see the following blog post:

Promotion– this means product or event advertisement.…

Updated on July 8th, 2013

Recently business have been up in arms over the dramatic drop in reach their Facebook pages have been seeing but on Tuesday 20th November, SMB Marketing Consultant from Facebook Nick Bowditch put all of the rumours to rest at the Facebook Small Business Bootcamp.  Basically Facebook was built for people and not for businesses. The fact the businesses can use it is a bonus but at the end of the day statistics show that businesses on Facebook will never spend a red cent with Facebook or any of its products and when you have 4,000 employees in the company… well you do the math.…
